about roberta

Welcome, I am so glad you are here!

A little bit more about me. My pronouns are she/her and I am incredibly lucky to live and work on the territories of the musqueam squamish and tsleil-waututhin nations.

In 2013 my husband and I welcomed our first child and have been blessed with another two little souls in our family.

I have always wanted to be around birth and babies since I was very young, and after attending my first birth at age ten I was hooked!

Over the last few years, I have gotten to document family growth through my photography business and getting to attend births and be present during the fourth trimester capturing families’ first memories that lead me into Doula work.

It wasn’t until I experienced my own birth and my postpartum journey that I realized the deep need our community has for more support. As young parents, my partner and I came across so many hurdles both in our own physical and mental health and in the care of our children that we really would have been able to cope with a lot better given greater holistic support.

It is my greatest hope that in the process of supporting families and birthing people I can contribute to the continuation of more and more support systems for this beautiful transition in life!
